Light painting is a technique that uses a light source such as a flashlight to add light to a scene while taking a long exposure photograph. The light can be used to pick out and illuminate objects in the photo by shining the light on them or can even become part of the photo by becoming a source of light directly visible to the camera. This was our challenge for this competition remembering that to be “light painting you or a colleague must be adding light to the scene, not using light sources that already exist within the frame.
