For inspiration, take a look at the following images that were either taken during one of our prior courses, or subsequently by our novice members that started in the club by attending the course.
I completed the Introduction to Photography course in 2014. A group of around 10 were in the course, and from that group 6 of us are now active members, competing in the novice competitions. I found the course a great way to learn different aspects of photography, especially using different features of the camera under different circumstances. I particularly enjoyed the night expedition to the city learning how to capture night lights. The portrait night with a model was also a great experience for us, using studio lighting and learning how to ask the model to pose for us.

I got my first DSLR but had no idea how to use it. Auto was my only setting. After doing the CPS beginners course, I’ve not taken my camera off the manual setting. Patient instructors answer all your queries in plain English.
